Notice:  Registration and/or attendance at any Foodie Friends LLC gathering, event, or class, constitutes acceptance of the following Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

PRIVACY POLICY

This is the privacy policy for Foodie Friends, LLC. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. We want you to be assured and confident that your data is safe with us and understand how we use it to offer you a better and more relevant experience.

1. Introduction

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for foodiefriendsclub.com. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by the website. You can learn the following:

What information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.

  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  • The security procedures in place to protect your information.
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information given.

2. Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.  

  • We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
  • We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. 
  • We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, send you information or to ship an order.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.   

3. Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time, by clicking the unsubscribe button, found at the bottom of any email communication. You can also do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address given on our website: 

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.

Express any concern you have about our use of your data.   

4. Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. 

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is collected directly by our payment processor, Stripe.  Your data is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way on Stripe’s servers. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page that will show the SSL certificate. No one at Foodie Friends LLC can see your credit card details.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. 

5.  Orders

We request information from you on our checkout page, via Stripe. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If Stripe has trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.

6.  Cookies

We use “cookies” on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s device to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. For instance, when we use a cookie to identify you, you would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information on our site.

Cookies Used:

  • Google Analytics: The purpose of this cookie is to help us with tracking conversion rates for ad campaigns and to store and update a unique value for each page visited.
  • WooCommerce: The purpose of this cookie is to help us collect the necessary user contact information to process and deliver a product or registration through purchase.

This website may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

8. Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time our site may request information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All registration requests to attend any of our scheduled classes or events can be made via our website form or by contacting Foodie Friends, or by registering with any of our associated locations as applicable. In submitting our online registration form, or the online form of any of our associated locations, attendees are agreeing to accept all of the terms & conditions stated here.

A confirmation email will be sent with payment details once a registration has been made via the registration form on the foodiefriendsclub.com website. Registration with our associated locations may vary in the confirmation process.

Payment Policy for Foodie Friends LLC:  Full payment to attend a scheduled Foodie Friends course or event is required prior to the date of the course.

Private Events: Full payment of all private events is due no later than 14 days prior to the event, unless otherwise stipulated in writing by Foodie Friends. A deposit of 25% is required 30 days prior to event.

Cancellation of private / custom classes or events
Cancellation of a custom / private class or event greater than 2 weeks out, by the client, the deposit is refunded or there may be an option to reschedule to another date, depending on Foodie Friends staff availability. Cancellation within 2 weeks of scheduled event will incur a 25% fee.

Cancellation by Foodie Friends 
Foodie Friends reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class for reasons concerning Foodie Friends. If a class has been cancelled due to low attendance, sickness or any other matter regarding Foodie Friends, all students will be notified as soon as possible prior to the class start, whenever possible.  Registrants will be given the option to reschedule to another date, or full refund will be made. Last minute cancellations will be made only in case of an emergency.  To be notified, we request that all registrations include a phone number on the registration form. 

Minimum Number of Participants
A minimum number of participants is required to run a scheduled class. On the class description page of the event, the minimum number of participants will be published for each class. In the event that minimum number is not reached, Foodie Friends reserves the right to reschedule the class or refund in full. In the event that the class is rescheduled, participants will be notified as soon as possible, typically 2 to 7 days prior to class.

Participant Cancellation
In the event a participant needs to cancel a booked class, cancellation more than 2 days prior to the date of the class, the option to reschedule to another class is available (subject to availability within that class) or full refund. Cancellation of a class 3 – 5 days prior to the scheduled class, a 50% fee will apply or the option to reschedule. A cancellation of a class within 48 hours of the scheduled class, the full amount of the class will be forfeited and no option to reschedule will be available. 

If you cannot make it for any reason, please let us know as soon as you can. We spend time preparing for each class and purchasing fresh food to ensure we provide you with the best possible ingredients and experience for yourself and fellow participants.

Attending a Class
To ensure that our classes run smoothly, please arrive about 5 – 10 minutes before the beginning of the class. We kindly ask that you arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your class as we will be preparing for class until that time.

Start Time: Classes run by Foodie Friends will start on time. We advise students to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to minimize the chance of missing any of their lesson time.

What to bring:  For classes and cook-together events, we supply all your ingredients, aprons, and written preparation lists.  In addition, for classes we provide recipe handouts and instruction. If you would like to take notes, please bring a small notepad and pen.

Right to Refuse: Foodie Friends reserves the right to refuse a student attendance in a class if the instructor feels they are intoxicated or may cause disruptions to the class, or harm to themselves or anyone else attending the class or event.

Non-Discrimination Policy:  Foodie Friends is happy to welcome everyone to our classes and events, regardless of race, color, religion, or sexual preference. The only basis for refusal to one of our classes or events is for disruptive or potentially harmful behavior.

Release of Liability: When participating in a Foodie Friends class or event, the student/participant may be in a cooking environment using tools and ingredients that pose a potential danger, such as sharp knives, hot substances, and hot surfaces, etc. The student / participant releases, indemnifies and excludes Denise Milligan, William A Milligan, any Foodie Friends staff or assistants, and Foodie Friends LLC,  and any associated location and company, and their employees from any and all liability of any kind for any damage or injury incurred while attending or visiting Foodie Friends or their associated locations. The student/participant understands these terms and conditions and accepts the inherent risks of a cooking or farm environment when they register and/or attend a scheduled class/dinner/event.

Damage / Loss of Personal Property:  Foodie Friends and its associated locations will take all necessary care, but accepts no responsibility for the damage to or loss of merchandise left in the venue prior to, during or after a class or event. Foodie Friends and its associated locations are not responsible for the loss or damage of personal items in any form.
 
Damage / Loss of Foodie Friends Property: The student or function organizer may be held financially responsible for any damage to or loss of Foodie Friends property during the class or event. The cost of repairing any damage to walls, doors or other parts of the property as a result of inappropriate conduct will be charged to the person or hiring company involved.

Circumstances Beyond the Control of Foodie Friends: Should Foodie Friends be unable to provide for your class or function due to circumstances beyond the control of Foodie Friends, Foodie Friends LLC, and our associated locations, are not responsible for any costs, damages, or expenses that you may suffer or incur. 

Media Release

Foodie Friends assistants, staff, or attendees frequently take photos during events.  By registering for any Foodie Friends event of any kind, automatic media consent is given by all attendees. This consent includes permission to use photos in promotional materials or on the Foodie Friends or related websites, social media, or other marketing materials.  If the attendee does not wish to have their photo used in Foodie Friends or associated marketing materials, the attendee must provide written notice to Foodie Friends prior to the event start date and time.
